Market Share Reports

PKF Consulting Market Share Reports provide current year and previous year’s Occupancy, Average Daily Room Rate, Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR); Market Penetration, Rate Penetration and RevPAR Penetration for the subject property in comparison to its competitive market. In order to maintain confidentiality requirements, the competitive market must comprise a minimum of four to five reporting properties, including the subject property.

Trends in the Hotel Industry Market Share Reports are restricted to Trends participants that submit monthly occupancy, average daily rate, and room revenue results to the monthly National Trends monitor.

Market Share Reports are issued no later than six weeks following the reporting month, immediately following the finalization of the subject month’s "Trends in the Hotel Industry National Market Report" publication. Subscriptions to TRENDS in the Hotel Industry Market Share Reports are provided on an annual basis only, with 12 monthly reports issued per calendar year (January to December).

PKF produces two types of Market Share Reports, namely:

1. Year-to-date Property Performance/Market Share Reports for Individual Properties
   In order to maintain data confidentiality requirements, each competitive market must comprise a minimum of four reporting properties, including the subject property.
2. Year-to-date Property Performance/Market Share Reports for Multiple Properties
   In order to maintain data confidentiality requirements, each competitive grouping must comprise a minimum of four chains/groupings, including the subject chain/grouping.
