Benchmarker Reports are a service that allows hotel owners and operators
to benchmark the financial performance of their property(ies) against
a select group of comparable properties. With these reports, owners
and operators can compare revenues, expenses, and profits of their
hotel to similar properties
within a market segment or geographic area.
PKF produces three standard reports:
- Income Statement - provides a consolidation of the revenues
and expenses for major departments.
- Payroll Cost Analysis - presents salaries and wages,
along with employee benefits, for each department.
- Departmental Statements - reports detailing revenues
and expenses for the following hotel departments: Rooms, Food
and Beverage, Telecommunications,
Administrative & General, Marketing, and Property Maintenance & Utilities.
To preserve confidentiality, all Benchmarker Reports use only aggregate
figures from the requested hotel sample. Confidential information
for individual properties, hotel brands, management firms, and owners will
never be disclosed
by PKF Consulting. In choosing comparable/competitive hotel properties,
owners or operators must choose a minimum of:
- 4 Properties
- 3 Brands
- 3 Owners
- 3 Management Firms.
