Trends in the Resort/Inn Industry – Ontario is an
annual publication produced by PKF Consulting, in association
with Resorts Ontario. The publication is a key source of
market information for operators, as it can be utilized for
business planning purposes. It is the only monitoring vehicle
specific to Ontario’s resort industry. The publication
reports occupancy rates and average daily rates for three
accommodation categories, Resort Properties, Resort Hotels & Lodges,
and Inns. Strict confidence in observed by PKF Consulting
when handling the individual property information. Individual
property statistics are not made public only the compilation
of industry averages are made available. In addition, PKF
Consulting utilizes the survey results, on behalf of Resorts
Ontario, to annually update their industry outlook, originally
presented in the 1992 Ontario Resort Study.
The publication
is free of charge to those operators who participate in
the program. The publication is available to non-participants
