On a monthly basis, over 1,200 properties (approximately 175,000
rooms) provide us with their occupancy statistics, average daily
rates and room revenue per available room, for our monthly publication "Trends
in the Hotel Industry National Market Report".
If you manage or own a Canadian hotel property, we invite you to participate
in the Trends program on a monthly basis. To enroll your hotel in
the "Trends" program,
PDF) to download the sign up forms. General property information,
as well as any historical
occupancy and average daily rate information
should be provided to establish a trend line for your property. Your
monthly occupancy and average daily room rate information is to be
submitted to
our office on a go-forward basis. Utmost confidence is observed in
handling individual property information. Individual property statistics
are not
made public; only the compilation of industry averages is made available
to participants.
As a participating property, you will receive the "Trends" report
at no charge. A user name and password will be emailed to you providing
access to the Trends report online.
The publication is free of charge to those operators who participate
in the program. The monthly publication (12 issues) is available to non-participants
for $1,200 excluding GST (subject to change) for an annual subscription.
